Bear Hunting… “Pow Pow!”

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend at the camp.  As usual, JuJu outdid herself on the food and decorations.  We ate and ate and ate.  It was delicious!  The men played golf and Owen hunted bears and pirates all weekend.  Watching and listening to him play is so entertaining.  He is a trip!

Owen actually got to spend a little extra time at the camp before we all arrived.  The week before Thanksgiving he knew that JuJu and Bon Pa were at the camp getting everything ready.  So that Monday when I was dropping him off at school he asked, “You think Bon Pa could pick me up today?”  All I had to do was mention that to JuJu and Bon Pa and low and behold…they picked him up from school and brought him to the camp that day.  So you can about imagine how spoiled the kids get at the camp.  It usually takes us 3 days to despoil them.  Looking forward to Wednesday!

Teething

 

Abigail is officially teething!  I have to admit I am a little saddened by this milestone because I am not ready for her to grow up :(

Zoo Trip

And so it begins…

We took Abigail to the doctor’s office for a re-check on the pneumonia today.  The good news is her chest sounds wonderful.  The bad news is she has an ear infection…and we didn’t have a clue.  Our little smiling cherub never let on that anything was wrong.  Poor baby.  She weighed in at 15 lbs 7 oz (yes, that is off the growth chart).  Our girl likes to eat!  The doctor asked if her appetite had declined at all (due to the ear infection) and I just laughed and shook my head no.  That is one thing we don’t worry about :)   

Life Lately

“Yook my shirt has Coke’s plane on it.” 

“Momma.  Shhh.  Listen.  You hear that Owl?  I hear it.  It’s red.”

“I wanna hold Abigail.”

“I wanna hold her like that on my tummy Momma.”

Hearing Test

   

Addie had her machine from work in the car, so we did some hearing tests when she came over on Sunday.  Owen passed his test.  Then, of course, it was his turn to be the doctor. 

Ho Ho Ho

We attended TARC’s open house this year and the kids got to see Santa.  Owen was so excited the whole day before and the morning of, but when he spotted Santa he wanted nothing to do with him.  He wants a “twee house” for Christmas and eventually, after much coaxing, we got Owen to at least go whisper that to Santa.
