Trick-or-Treat

Owen is all about lighting the Jack-O-Lantern Halloween 015

Sweet Abigail was supposed to be an LSU cheerleader, but she had to sit this one out.  We figured she had been tortured enough in the last few days.Halloween 021Halloween 027 Halloween 028

He finally decided he wanted to go trick-or-treating.  He was in awe of all the decorations.  He would say trick-or-treat and thank you all at once.Halloween 044 Halloween 045

Heading homeHalloween 050

Owen was so excited for Halloween, but not so much about trick-or-treating.  Rain man would not wear his helmet or the LSU eye black that Parrain Beau sent him.  His favorite part of the night was handing out candy.  He would scream “Momma, Momma, more trick-or-treaters!”  It was very cute.  He was a little afraid of the scream ghost costumes.  He would back away anytime someone walked up dressed like that.  We finally got him to go trick-or-treating towards the end and then he didn’t want to come home.  He pretend trick-or-treated in the house until bed time.  Happy Halloween!

Sick Angel Baby

Sick Baby (1)Sick Baby (7)Sick Baby (9)Sick Baby (2)Sick Baby (10)Abigail started running fever Thursday night so we scheduled a doctor’s appointment for Friday morning.  I had plans of just popping in and out of the doctor’s office and then rocking my baby girl for the rest of the day.  Boy was I wrong!  We spent the entire day going between the doctor’s office and the hospital.  After running tests they figured out she had pneumonia.  My poor little angel!  We saw the doctor Friday and Saturday and they treated her with a strong antibiotic.  They started her on an oral antibiotic over the weekend and JuJu and Bon Pa brought her back to the doctor on Monday.  She is doing much better now and continues to improve each day.  Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers.  They worked!

Ju Ju and Bon Pa picked Owen and Abigail up early from school for a pumpkin filled afternoon.  Bon Pa was working in Lafayette and they were so lonesome they just couldn’t resist coming to Houma for a visit.  What a treat!

We took Abigail in for her 2 month check-up and shots.  She weighs 13 lbs and is 21.5 inches long.  Our little tator tot is 95% for her weight and head, but only 25% for height.  Looks like she got Mommy’s genes!

Back In The Saddle

IMG_1098IMG_1093Owen & Abigail 043Owen & Abigail 047photo 9photo 1 photo 2 photo 3 photo 4 photo 8photo 5 Well, we made it!  The first week back is over and we are all exhausted.  Our morning routine was probably the biggest adjustment…having to get all 4 of us dressed and out the door on time.  Owen started in the 3 year old class with a new teacher this week.  When I asked him if he liked her, he told me “Mrs. Jenny likes dinosaurs and yizards!”  So I am taking that as a yes, he likes her (she is very sweet).  I really like the ladies that are in the nursery with Abigail as well.  They said it took her a few days to adjust, but she is doing just fine.  My return to work was a whirlwind of catch-up.  I was thankful to be busy though because I didn’t have much time to think about how I was missing my babies.  It also helps that I can watch them on the school cameras from my computer any time I want.  Cheers to the weekend!
