Addie came to visit after baseball practice. She told Owen he had to take a nap before she came over…first time ever that we didn’t have to fight him…”I’m going take my nap. Wake me up when Addie gets here.” What?! He was out of control with excitement all afternoon (as usual). Yes, he is playing in his undies. I made him take his clothes off to play with the markers and then he spilled snowball all over himself. Such a boy!
Owen had his second baseball practice this weekend. He gets a little more comfortable with every one. It took a while, but he finally came out of his shell and showed off his skills. He told his coach “I don’t hit off the tee.” He did great and ended up having “so much fun!”.
The fun jump arrived at 8:30 am. We were still in our pajamas so we threw some clothes on and headed to the backyard. Owen LOVES fun jumps. He just kept telling me and the fun jump guy “yook those fun jumps! thank you thank you!”. We jumped, took baths, took naps, and then got ready for the party.
It was Owen’s birthday today and we tried to make it the perfect day for him. We took the day off from work and school, spent the morning in his new “green camping tent”, took a trip to Rouses for a few groceries (a favorite activity for him), and met Papa at the golf course to play a few holes. I can’t believe our little monkey is 3. How time flies!
This kid continues to keep us on our toes and the things that come out of his mouth never cease to amaze us. He is as hard headed as they come and too smart for his own good. He plays hard, laughs hard, and loves even harder. He’s not good at goodbyes. He would live on milk alone if we allowed him to. He tries his hardest to be sweet to Abigail and she just thinks he hung the moon. He loves to be read to and “snuggle time” at night is a must. His favorite saying right now is “two more minutes" (while holding up two fingers). All he wants to watch on TV is “Neverland Pirates”. He is FINALLY potty-trained (for the most part). He is all about rules and can be very bossy. He says “BOO!” every morning when he comes out of his room. He loves to help Papa with projects. His best friend at school is Jude and he talks about him every day.

Parrain Beau and Papa took Owen to his first LSU baseball game. It was a huge hit. Of course Parrain got him all kinds of surprises at the game and they ate some “hot nuts!” (which he will not stop saying). Thanks Parrain! While the boys went to play in Baton Rouge, the girls did some shopping and Addie came to help us get ready for Owen’s party this weekend. I can’t believe our little monster is going to be 3!
