For Christmas we headed to the camp in Ville Platte.  Everyone arrived Christmas Eve.  We went to 6 o’clock mass and then the party started.  We put on our matching pajamas (compliments of JuJu) and prepared for a night of fun.  We played Christmas games (also compliments of JuJu) and exchanged gifts.  I fell asleep about half way through the gifts.  I didn’t want to be awake when Santa passed!  On Christmas morning I woke up early to see all of my gifts.  It was so exciting.  Thank you Santa for all of my toys.  I love them all, but my favorites were the trucks and my Thomas the Train set.  Christmas day night we went to Grandma Emma’s house.  We opened more presents and I played with my cousin Emma.  We had a great time!  Merry Christmas everyone!

Santa Came Early This Year

Owen 073

It’s still very early (5 Weeks), but we just found out that Owen is going to be a big brother!  The new baby is due August 12, 2011.  Owen has no idea what’s going on, but we are so excited!

Winter Wonderland

We had to wait in line a very long time to see Santa.  Thank goodness they had a play area set up for the kids to play while the parents waited in line.  Mrs. Clause asked me if I wanted to sit on her lap and I told her “no way!”Owen 078Owen 077

Christmas Tree Shopping

We took Owen Christmas tree shopping on Saturday morning.  He enjoyed being outside of course, but was not that concerned with the trees.  He saw a bicycle right when we got there and wanted to play with only that.  When we finally tore him away from the bike (“bye bye bike”), he ran straight for the tent with the flocked trees.  He was amazed by them (not sure why).  Jeff found our perfect tree and Owen wanted nothing to do with it.  I think he was sincerely disappointed that we got a plain ole green one.  He got over it once we got home and Jeff took his tools out.  Owen loves to be his handyman.

No Way! No Way!

It was so cold on Friday and Saturday and of course all Owen wanted to do was go outside.  He was bundled up all weekend in the warmest (ugliest) clothes he owns.  His new favorite phrase is “No way no way!”  Instead of just saying no, he feels the need to yell that instead.  He is also repeating everything we say.  Of course we think it is adorable, but he is very bossy!  “Moooove” is another favorite phrase and he will pull/push you until you move to do what he wants.  He skipped his nap on Saturday and fell asleep watching the LSU game with Papa.  I don’t blame him.  What a terrible game!

This Thanksgiving was a little untraditional for us.  Everyone went to their in-laws this year and the Andersons were out of town, so we headed to the camp.  Jeff and Bon Pa played golf and then cooked shrimp and crab etouffee outside.  JuJu, Owen, and I went to visit at Grandma and Grandpa’s in the morning and then returned to help fix lunch.  Even though we were short on guests and there was no turkey, it was a great day.  We ate, played, and ate some more.  I hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving!
