One of the Mardi Gras Crews of Houma came to Owen’s school for a parade. Most of the kids were excited…the others were scared to death. Owen and Reese (his girlfriend) stuck by my side during the parade, but they didn’t cry. I think they had more fun sorting through their goodies after the commotion was over. We’re not sure if Reese is really Owen’s girlfriend, but they are definitely best friends. Their teacher told me that they only play with each other during the day, they sit together at lunch, and have to have their nap mats next to each other for nap time. Reese’s mom said that all Reese talks about at home is Owen. We think it’s pretty funny, but if we ask Owen about it he gets embarrassed and tells us to stop. Too cute!
